Cipalam has the project ready for the expansion of its production, with the construction of a steelwoks. The study for the implementation of the new factory, with investments of BRL 300 million for the next three years, was presented to Governor Romeu Zema during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais (Fiemg), in Belo Horizonte.

Present at the event were the Secretary of Economic Development of Minas, Fernando Passalio, and the presidents of the Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais (Fiemg), Flávio Roscoe, and of the Fiemg Regional Vale do Aço, Flaviano Gaggiato.
The project presented an assessment of the feasibility of producing its own steel by Cipalam and was enthusiastically received by the authorities present, according to the president of Fiemg Regional Vale do Aço.
“The Cipalam project is extremely interesting and ecologically correct. The company must create a steelworks to supply its own raw material from the reuse of scrap. Today, the company has a production capacity of around 20,000 tons of bars and laminated profiles, but due to raw material issues, it cannot achieve this”, says Gaggiato.
